Conveniently located just off Highway 24, ten minutes from Oakland/Berkeley and Walnut Creek, our campus sits atop a hill in western Lafayette, with stunning views of the Lafayette Reservoir and Mt. Diablo. The beautiful, 18,500 square foot Sasson Educational Building opened in 2009 with state-of-the-art learning spaces including bright, flexible classrooms and dedicated art room and science lab. The Candau Center for Academic Excellence also includes engaging outdoor play and learning spaces – including a tree house like climbing structure and tether ball court for our younger students and a beautiful teaching garden utilized by both upper and lower grades.
In 2019 we opened our Outdoor Recreation and Community Area – the ORCA. The ORCA is a major campus improvement – a versatile, multi-sport court with adjacent seating area, connected to our classroom building by a newly built walkway. Students and teachers are thrilled to use the ORCA for physical education (offering basketball, volleyball, badminton and more) as well recess and school sports teams. While the ORCA can host outdoor music and cultural events, the theater and indoor play area made available to us by our campus partner Temple Isaiah provide outstanding supplementary spaces for our students.
