We realize that many families are looking for high-quality extended care for their children. CCJDS offers excellent and flexible extended care options to meet your needs.

| Parents are encouraged to drop off at 8:00am to give students some transition time before class begins. | |
Early Care is offered from 7:30-8:00am Monday-Friday. At 8:00am classrooms open and students have time to chat with friends and get settled before instruction begins promptly at 8:15am.
After Care is offered from 3:00-6:00pm Monday-Thursday and until 5:00pm on Fridays. Aftercare offers, in addition to delicious snacks, a warm, fun, and engaging program with structured outdoor and indoor activities. Homework Club for the middle and upper grades allows students a chance to get work done before heading home.

| Families have the option to sign up for a year-long (flat fee) plan, schedule regular days, or drop-in as needed. |

Families also have the opportunity to sign their student(s) up for specific enrichment programs in drama, chess, cooking, math, reading, and other topics of interest. There is an additional fee for enrichment classes, which are sometimes provided by outside organizations (e.g. Berkeley Chess School, Cooking Around the World, etc).
Students often start their own afterschool clubs as well. Parent volunteers provide supervision and we provide the space to make it happen!
