Grandparents and Special Friends

We love and support CCJDS today.  How can we ensure that our school continues to serve children in our community after we are gone?  Leaving a gift to the Contra Costa Jewish Day School in your will, trust, retirement account or life insurance policy is one of the easiest ways to minimize your family's estate taxes, while supporting and strengthening the quality of Jewish life and education in our community for generations to come.  There is no minimum financial commitment.

Eve Gordon-Ramek and Henry Ramek z"l

Eve Gordon, pictured at left with her late husband Henry Ramek z"l, supports the Contra Costa Jewish Day School today and is a founding member of our legacy society.  Eve told us why she is leaving a gift to CCJDS in her estate plan:

When I was young, we lost one-third of the world’s Jewish population to the Holocaust.  Those of us in our Jewish community knew we had an obligation to ensure its long-term survival...  Click here to continue reading.

If you have already made provision for a legacy gift to CCJDS, thank you!  Please let us
know so that we can honor you as a member of our L’Dor V’Dor – Generation to Generation Legacy Society.  We are currently participating in the LIFE & LEGACY PROGRAM (see below) and your commitment will also help us earn a grant that we can put to use immediately to ensure academic excellence and a vibrant Jewish community for our students today.

For more information on bequests, gifts through retirement plans, and other legacy giving opportunities, please contact Eden Bruner, Development Director, at (925) 284-8288 or eden@ccjds.org

We look forward to welcoming you to our L’Dor V’Dor Society.

The Contra Costa Jewish Day School is honored to have been selected for LIFE & LEGACY, a national program sponsored by the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and our local Jewish Federation and Jewish Community Foundation.  The LIFE & LEGACY program seeks to encourage Jewish organizations to build endowments to solidify our financial foundation and the
long term health of our community.

In addition to providing training and program support, the Grinspoon Foundation offers incentive grants when we reach program milestones.

Now we are in Year Four of the program, which asks us to focus on formalizing legacy commitments as well as continuing outreach to new members. We can earn an incentive grant of $5,000 this year. Please join us - supporting great Jewish education today and ensuring our future.
